You said, “Suffer the little children to come on to me”
And here we sit quietly at your feet,
and find ourselves covered in the dust
of your majesty.
Caught speechless at the work of your hands.
The sea that is the sky, the oceans endless
Your creative design, matchless
It fills the earth and all that lives upon it.
What depths of love…
Sparing no detail,
leaving nothing out.
Lavishly displaying your greatness for all to see,
from the zenith to the valley,
Spread wide like a sheet,
all bearing witness to our Creator,
The firstborn of many.
Sacrificed to make sons of sinners,
even in his dishonour you reign with power and glory.
For it is by your wisdom,
you took the innocent to atone for the guilty.
Tore the veil so we might see
and know the Spirit
that raised the Carpenter from the cross.
And my soul will testify,
It is by your grace you show us mercy,
by your mercy you shower us with grace.
How can one hide from your hand?
And why should we ever try…
to hide our hearts from a God that has shown to be true and perfect by design,
honest and trustworthy,
in heart and mind…
And amazing time after time.
