Last week in class was a little slow, but I learned a lot. We discussed the practical uses of audio in video production, and recording. In this case adding theory to my practical knowledge of microphones and audio components. With Dynamic & Condenser microphones being the two distinct kinds of microphones.
Of course with Louis emphasising that the fundamental difference between the two is that dynamic microphones convert acoustic signals to electronic signals via their own power supply (by way of a magnetic field).
The fact that after years of working with much of this equipment, not only am I learning new things, I am learning the basic fundamentals of operation and the science behind otherwise commonplace equipment.
